Clinical Hypnotherapy

Clinical hypnotherapy uses hypnotherapy as a tool to address concerns, conditions or issues in a therapeutic way.

How does it work?
Our conscious mind is the rational part of our mind that contains everything that we are currently aware of - thoughts, feelings and memories.  Our unconscious mind consists of all of our experiences, memories and everything that we've ever learned.  Through hypnosis we can communicate with both the conscious and unconscious parts of the mind, but when we communicate with the unconscious mind we use emotion, metaphor and symbolism to give messages on a deeper level so that change can take place.

What can it be used for?

Clinical hypnotherapy can be used to help with a wealth of issues including anxiety, addiction, phobias, weight issues, smoking/vaping/snus cessation, problem drinking, pain relief, symptom management, pain management, tinnitus, IBS, breaking and making habits, exam anxiety, confidence, self-esteem and deep relaxation.  The list goes on and on, whatever the issue, it is likely that clinical hypnotherapy can be used to help.
